TIH staff takes time out to build their team
The Innovation Hub took off to their team building exercise to Roode Vallei Country Lodge, on the banks of Pienaar’s River, north of Pretoria from the 28th to the 29th of August. The two day programme was geared to build relationships between the different functional departments, to augment team dynamics and to loosen up a bit! Not only did the team strategise on company goals measurements, but they embarked on activities that lead to re-discovery of themselves and their team members. This included expression through art such as painting and dancing. Here’s what some of the team members had to say:
“I think the team building was an eye opener for all of us and we all got to learn a lot about each other and more importantly ourselves. I have discovered that we are a great team and we have so much going for us. What I enjoyed the most was the part where we all got divided into groups and we had to build what we think of The Hub and the different ideas and thoughts that came were great in a sense that we are all one big team and thinking towards the same goals for The Hub,” says Jane Sambo, Corporate Affairs.
“I thoroughly enjoyed myself and realised that I am an introvert but that I can improve this through more communication and more interaction with my colleagues,” commented Lettie Manaiwa, Maxum and CoachLab Receptionist.
“I really enjoyed the Team Building. What I have learned is that we have to work together as a team. It was also nice to see the CEO getting down,” laughed Johanna Tilodi.
