Xblox Trade and Manufacturing has secured two foreign IT projects with its newly founded co-company Xblox Stichting, situated in the Netherlands. The new partnership is a result of various IT projects completed in the South African market by Xblox, in conjunction with a few Dutch companies, over the last couple of years. “We’ve worked hard to build a presence in the market through involvements with local organisations, and we are now working towards a meaningful relationship with a foreign company, which will result in higher performance levels and better software solutions.” says Wilco Swanepoel, Managing Director of Xblox.

Xpitec milestones

Xpitec has recently been appointed South Africa’s first distributor for Sherrill Lubinski Corporation, the providers of RTView which is an adaptable platform for custom aggregation, analysis, and presentation of real-time information. SLC has spent the past twenty-four years assisting companies gain meaningful visibility into their most critical applications and operations.

As the appointed chartered distributor of QNX Software Systems in South Africa, Xpitec has been at the forefront of providing state-of-the-art embedded real-time Operating System (RTOS) solutions to local companies. Drawing on their embedded software development expertise, Xpitec has been able to provide superior technical support to local companies and this has increased QNX’s market share in South Africa.

The synergy between Xpitec, a specialised embedded and application software development company, and Xblox Trade and Manufacturing, specialists in the development of IT systems, has again come to fruition through a recent collaboration to complete an automated production system for Enterprise Foods, a division of Tiger Consumer Brands Ltd. “The usage of technologies such as .NET applications to specialised instrumentation systems has resulted in state-of-the-art systems for our clients”, says Nick Pieters, CEO of Xpitec. The successful development of the system can be attributed to various partnerships with international companies such as Scanvaegt in Denmark and Banss in Germany (both world wide leaders in the field of automated food processing systems).
