SP Smart is a South African provider of information and communication technology solutions for corporate businesses, governments departments and other organisations. Revenue & Asset Management has never been so easy since the development of RAMS. RAMS is an integrated system that empowers both the municipality and the rate payer. Ease of integration with Automated Meter Reading and a billing system will give you seamless revenue collection capability.

Veritec is a Two Dimensional Matrix Coding Technology used on Bio-Id cards.
These cards can be used as a payroll card, time and attendance card, as well as an access-control card.

The VS Code is a feature on the card which can be used as a universal multi-purpose card because of its high data capacity (4,000 bytes). The VS Code stores the true identity of, and necessary information about, the cardholder, securely and privately.

Smart has opened a new subsidiary called Smart Education Enterprise (SEE) which specialising in, among other things, Managing Total Quality (MTQ). Through this we are creating awareness for total quality in organisations. By doing that, we are introducing a new approach to teaching and learning by deviating from the norm, hoping to make learning more pleasant and innovative.
On the raider is a roll out of Total Quality to 1300 teachers in the month of September.

Smart Interns 

In February 2008, SP Smart took in undergraduate students who came straight from tertiary institutions with no previous working experience. They were paired with Oracle and other experienced programmer’s to mentor them through the programme. The SP Smart Learners Program is aimed at providing training and valuable work experience and to ensure that our interns are equipped with a combination of business skills and technical skills that will allow for a smooth transition into the working environment.

The success of this program is evident in the fact that several historically disadvantaged employees that began their careers at SP Smart as trainees are now in influential technical positions.
