Enablis, and Blue Catalyst jointly hosted the Hub’s monthly business networking forum, Pub@Hub. Enablis is a non-profitable, member-based organisation that enables entrepreneurs to build sustainable ICT SME’s, while Blue Catalyst comprises a network of mentors, advisers and financiers who engage with innovative entrepreneurs to aid the launching of their smart ideas and innovations into the market place.
The hosting companies and guest company, IDC, are mandated to funding both start-up and established ICT related companies. Although the criteria for acceptance varies, the objective is the same: to strengthen the ICT sector with entrepreneurs that have innovative and new technology idea, that will have a competitive advantage in the market with strong economic merits and development potential.
No doubt the evening’s highlight was presentations from existing ICT entrepreneurs who took turns to illustrate the competency of their companies to a panel of judges, consisting of Brian Brown, the CEO of Blue Catalyst, IDC Guest Speaker; Jill Sawers, Manager for Entrepreneurship at The Innovation Hub and the IDC Guest Speaker. The panel not only judged the entrepreneurs’ presentation skills, but also offered advice on how they could enhance their offerings and establish a niche within their market place.
The companies that were presented at this event are: GeoAxon, Zinandi Telecomms, Mervynopolis, DCIT, Isikhathi IT Solutions, Mobiworx and PhiBlue.
