The Maxum Business Incubator of the Innovation Hub, in collaboration with the University of Pretoria and Idea Bank, launched “Business Beat” on 2 February 2009.
Business Beat is a competition designed to empower potential entrepreneurs by matching innovators with a team of MBA students who will assist the entrepreneur to put together a viable business proposal. The winning plans will be awarded a Maxum Pre-Incubation Start-up Package. To qualify, the idea must fall within the technologically-led sectors of ICT, biosciences, electronics, smart materials & advanced manufacturing and energy.
The winning package includes:
FREE plug and play office space for six months at The Innovation Hub in Pretoria (Terms & Conditions apply).
Networking opportunities through attendance at IZAZI entrepreneur forums.
Guidance in business processes by The Maxum Management Team and exposure to highly qualified mentors.
The opportunity to sample the benefits of incubation prior to becoming part of the Incubation Programme.
